Good evening everyone,
I was sitting here reflecting on the past few days.. which led to me reflecting on the past 25+ years we’ve been in business.. and well I need everyone to buckle up because I have a lot to say but I’m going to do my best at making this short.
With every ounce of gratitude I have in me.. thank you. Thank you for allowing us to serve our community for 25+ years. Thank you to Brownsville, and the wonderful people that work and live in this community. Thank you for giving us a chance and continuing to come back to us and allowing us to serve you for this long. Thank you for giving us the best form of advertisement there is - word of mouth. Thank you for telling people about our little hole in the wall diner in the middle of T&W flea market… you supported us and have been the reason that we have shown up every day and consistently try to only improve and be better because you guys have turned our family diner into something we never would have expected when we first opened those doors and went home after a 10 hour day with 61$ in sales. One person turned into two, and then two to four, four to sixteen, sixteen to two hundred and fifty six, and now we are blessed to be serving new faces almost everyday. So once again thank you Brownsville and thank you for showing up for us. We can only hope that we get another 25 years showing up for you.
To the other businesses that have supported us and allowed us to grow as a business … man thank you so much. Escambia County Jail was the first business we ever delivered too.. and now we’ve picked up numerous companies that even though they could eat anywhere they use us time and time again to provide them with a hot breakfast or lunch. Escambia County Jail thank you. Thank you to D/D Welding, Coastal Engine & Machine, Blacksheep Automotive, Tommy’s Barber Shop, Floored By Rick, Fire Stop, Jim’s New and Used Furniture, Triple AAA appliances, Gulf Coast Trade Exchange, ECUA, Baughn Alignment, Centennial Imports, Buggy Works, Vicks, Kikers, Classic Collision, Industrial Hydraulics, Johnson’s Auto Parts, Framing By Design, Fairfield Auto Parts, Electronic Supply, Come Unto Me Childcare, Beulah’s School and PreK, Community Health Northwest Florida, Coral Bay, Gross and Son Paint & Body, Tiffany’s Beauty Salon, Quality Aluminum, Endure Care of Pensacola, Rosewood, ECAT, Global Learning Academy, Cais Weis, Outlaws, Boyds Auto, West Fl Primary Care, World Ford Pensacola, Pete Moore Chevrolet, Frontier Motors, REAP Pensacola, A Flower Shop, Baptist Hospital, Every Department of Lakeview… thank you.
I know I’ve missed a few.. so if I didn’t include your name please know that my gratitude is still the same. Every person, and every company, big and small, you all are important to us and we’re grateful for the wonderful community around us that has kept us going.
Man.. 25 years will throw some things your way, but we’ve been lucky enough to make it through everything and still be open today. Our community is a strong one, and we’ve always shown that we will bounce back from any obstacle throw our way.
To everyone impacted by this storm, just know that we’re here for you, and we’re grateful that everyone is still here with us. You guys showed up for us big time these past few days, just like you have been doing for years, and we will continue to show up for you, and do our best to keep our menu affordable, but good and filling and worth the money that you spent your time earning. We will do our best to serve you and keep this thing going.
I’ve been given many nick names over the years .. some call me Mr.T .. some call me Boss Man.. my lifelong friend and cook Randy (Rest in Peace my dear friend) he called me the REAL DEAL 🕺.. and that’s the LOGO on our uniforms.. in honor of Randy. Recently I started getting called Master Chef by a few of you and I tell you what that one had a lovely ring to it.. might be my new favorite.. but if I haven’t met you personally my name is Thomas Collins (TC) & once again I’d like to say THANK YOU ♥️
Our phone lines are back on, our power is back on, and the roof is still standing. We got lucky.. and we promise not to take that luck for granted.
I also want to give a HUGE thank you and shout out to the crew @ Generator Source on W street .. these guys came through for me and made sure I had what I needed to get the hot meals going. You guys rock and are greatly appreciated.
After a week- things are going back to normal 👏🏼
