It has been ranked as Iowa's #1 Public Golf Course from 1997 to 2001 and was also ranked in the Top-75 Most Affordable Golf Digest awarded Bos Landen with its "Four Star Place to Play - 2007." Each hole features 5 sets of tees for players of all skill levels, ranging from 5,100 to 7,000 yards in length. Bos Landen, located just outside of Des Moines, comes from the Dutch language meaning “Land of the Woods”. The Des Moines golf course sits on 190 heavily wooded acres and features a wide variety of shot making holes. Bos Landen is a great test of skill to all players and the picturesque scenery will have you wanting to come back for more. Being located in central Iowa, one would think the land would be fairly flat with views of the countryside. However, when you arrive at Bos Landen this is not the case with all of the terrain and beautiful views.
