On opening day, the very first customer—a policeman—walked through the doors, and from that moment on, Donut Joe’s was on its way to success. Today, the shop is lovingly operated by Eric and Natalie Byrd, continuing the tradition of freshly made donuts, locally roasted coffee, and genuine Southern hospitality. Every morning at 2 AM, the kitchen comes to life as dough is prepared for their famous donuts, fritters, cinnamon twists, and the crowd-favorite Maple Bacon Donut. Their coffee, made from the top 2% of coffee beans grown worldwide, is the perfect companion to their handcrafted treats. But Donut Joe’s is more than just a place to grab breakfast—it’s a community staple. Locals and visitors alike gather on the outdoor patio, sipping coffee and enjoying the view of a passing train under the branches of the old pecan tree.
