This photo is a throwback, but the tradition is timeless. Koinobori — the colorful carp streamers flown on Kodomo no Hi — represent strength, perseverance, and the hope that keiki grow up healthy and strong.

And here's a little extra reason to bring your favorite boys in tonight — Kids Eat Free every Monday & Tuesday from 4–8PM! 🙌 Boys Day falling on a Tuesday feels like it was meant to be. For each paying adult who orders a complete meal, one child under 10 eats free from the keiki menu. Dine-in only.

They're back. 🦪✨

Say hello to our Kaki Fry — crispy, golden fried oysters served with your choice of remoulade or tonkatsu sauce. A Gyotaku fan favorite, now back on the menu as a limited special.

Start with the Kaki Fry Appetizer (5 pieces — $20.95) or go all in with one of our Teishoku entrees that pair kaki and ebi fry with rice, miso soup, salad, and sashimi. However you order it — you're going to want to come back for more. 🤤

Throwing it back to when our koinobori were flying at Gyotaku — one of our favorite Japanese traditions to celebrate with our O'ahu community. The carp streamers may be from a past year, but the spirit is the same every time.
