Baking has always been my way of connecting with people, and as I look back on the Loveridge Bakery years (2018–2022), I’m just so grateful for every single order, conversation, and familiar face that came through the door.
While that chapter naturally came to a close, my love for baking never stopped. I’ve been taking some time to grow and figure out what’s next, and I am so happy to finally share where my heart (and oven!) has landed.
I’m Carla Gennuso, and I’ve officially taken on the role of Head Pastry Chef at Mystic Drawbridge General Store! 🥐✨
Stepping into this new kitchen feels like coming home. The Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream family has been making home-made, all natural ice cream since 1991–so joining this team felt so natural, as pastries and ice cream really do go hand and hand. It may be a new spot, but you can expect the exact same recipes and love you’ve known for years—plus a few new treats I’ve been experimenting with that I think you’re going to adore.
I’ll still be sharing my baking journey right here to give you a look at what’s coming fresh out of the oven.
