What a day at the Pinot & Paella Festival in support of Paso Robles Youth Arts!

Pappy McGregor’s was proud to participate for the first time, serving up our Seafood & Chorizo Paella alongside nine talented local chefs. The competition was fierce, the wines were flowing, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better.

Congratulations to Chef Julien Asseo of S’Aranella/Les Petites Canailles for taking home the People’s Choice Award, and to Chef Rachel of The Restaurant at JUSTIN and Chef Jeff of Jeffry’s Wine Country BBQ for sharing the Judges’ Choice Award. Every chef brought something special to the table, making this year’s competition one to remember.

With more than 25 wineries pouring exceptional wines, live music filling the air, and perfect Paso Robles weather, it was an afternoon of great food, great wine, and a great cause. Asuncion Ridge poured all Pinot Noir with Windward Vineyards brand in addition to their own, providing a contrast in vintages, vineyards and clones. Calcareous offer a bubbly to start with their Blanc de Noir. Others offered refreshing options like Pinot Gris and Pinot Rosé – but clearly the star of the day was Paso Pinot Noir offerings.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, poured, cooked, and supported Paso Robles Youth Arts. We’ll definitely be back next year!
