All week long at the White Marlin Open, people around Pasadena were checking the leaderboard, following every update, talking about the boats, and pulling for one of our own.

And make no mistake - we were ALL IN.

That’s because around here, The Rumor Reel & The Rumor Meal have never just been businesses. They’re part of this community.

So when Captain Carl was out there competing on one of the biggest stages in sportfishing, this town was right there with him.

We were watching.
We were hoping.
We were cheering.
And we were damn proud to see him out there representing our community.

The White Marlin Open may be over, but we wanted you to know something from all of us back home.

You had a whole town behind you.

And we always will be.

🎣 THE WHITE MARLIN OPEN IS UNDERWAY…

The staff of The Rumor Reel & The Rumor Meal want to send a huge shoutout to our very own Captain Carl and the crew aboard The Dock Father (Boat #123 for those keeping score at home 😉).

Today marks Day 1 of their three-day quest in the 53rd White Marlin Open, and we’re hoping they come back with sore arms, great stories, and something big enough to make the scales nervous.

Best of luck, Captain Carl and crew! May the lines stay tight & the seas stay calm! We’re all pulling for you to reel in a winner and put The Dock Father at the top of the leaderboard.
