it is with great sorrow i must post this
Vita (nee-Calvaruso) Palmeri passed away on Sunday January 15, 2023, at the age of 95 surrounded by her children.

Born and raised in Alcamo, Sicily, Vita came to the United States in 1968 where she lived in Brooklyn, NY until 1971. Vita and her family soon settled in Parsippany, where she resided for the remainder of her life. Vita and her husband, Francesco, had been the proud owners of Frank and Son Pizzeria for nearly 50 years.

Pre-deceased by her late husband, Francesco (April 11, 2014), Vita is survived by her three children: Ignazio and Pina; Concetta and Joseph; Maria and Joseph; her seven grandchildren: Dawn and James; Vita Marlena and George; Kayla and Travis; Christina and Shane; Joseph and Alyssa; Francesco; Sabrina and Eugene, nine great-grandchildren: Jakob, Teigan, George Ignazio, Joseph, Jack, Noah, Cecelia, Bella and Maria.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Par-Troy Funeral Home (95 Parsippany Road Parsippany). Relatives and friends are invited to attend Liturgy of Christian Burial on Friday, January 20, 2023, beginning at 9:30 am at Saint Christopher R.C. Church (1050 Littleton Road Parsippany) followed by entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (225 Ridgedale Ave East Hanover).

Hello everyone. We would like you thank you all for the last 49 years. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we have had to make the decision to close our doors for the very last time. With out every one of you, the last 49 years would not have been possible. The Frank and Son family will miss you all. Stay healthy and safe.

Francesco PalmeriAGE: 88 • ParsippanyFrancesco Palmeri passed away on Friday, April 11th, 2014 at his home in Parsippany. He was 88. Francesco was born in Sicily, Italy and came to New York in 1968 before moving to Parsippany in 1971. Francesco was the owner of Frank & Sons Pizzeria for many years before retiring.Survivors include his wife, Vita (nee-Calvaruso); his son, Ignazio "Frank" & his wife, Elanie of Parsippany; his daughters: Concetta "Connie" Francesca Palmeri-DiMenno & her husband Joe of Succasunna and Maria Rodriguez & her husband Joe of Parsippany; his sister, Anna Bologna; his 7 grandchildren: Dawn Sparone & her husband, Jim, Vita Marlena Cowan & her husband, George, Kayla, Joseph, Francesco, Sabrina and Christina; and his 5 great-grandchildren: Jakob, Teigan, George, Joseph and Jack.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 15th, 2014 at St. Christopher R.C.
