Our beloved cook / manager, Julie, will be out a while longer. After going on medical leave in June and having a successful knee replacement, she now has to have the other knee replaced. Although we will be keeping her spot ready for her return, we need a cook. So, if you or anyone you know is interested, read the post below and fill out the form.

Hours of employment will be Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 am to 5:30 pm. This is full time for the hours that I am open. This position will include but is not limited to daily preparation of food before opening. Receiving and preparing orders from our menu (training will be provided for continuity of product). Working closely with Prep Cook and assisting with deep fryers. Daily cleaning of appliances and food preparation surfaces. Restocking of supplies.

*Wages discussed during interview.

*Work in a fun atmosphere.
THE MUSTS:
* MUST SHOW UP FOR AN INTERVIEW.
* Must be 18 years or older and possess a High School Diploma or GED.
* Must be RELIABLE and on time.
* Must have reliable transportation.
* Must be able to lift up to 70lbs.
* Must be able to work as a team member and unassisted.
* Must be able to work without your phone attached.
* Must have a positive attitude.
* Must not have a track record for calling off of work.
*Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
*Must be pleasant, have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.

Thanks to all the hard working women and men across our great country. You are truly the backbone of America 🇺🇸. To honor the hard working employees of The Root Beer Shack, we will be CLOSED today. September 5th so that our employees are able to enjoy a long weekend with their families. Have a safe and happy holiday weekend.

The Root Beer Shack will be CLOSED from Tuesday. August 4th through Saturday, August 8th for our family vacation. We appreciate your understanding. We will reopen on Tuesday, August 11th at 11am.

We had the best visitor today. My granddaughter, Kaci, stopped by with her Mommy, her Aunt Sissy, and her Mamaw and Papaw Wilson for some lunch. Kaci came back to the kitchen to tell everyone hi and also got to see her Funcle Matthew (Fun Uncle). She was a bit sleepy when she arrived but perked up by the time she left.
