Hello Parker,
We at Fika would like to take a moment to share something we feel is very important. As some of you may know a Parker Family was displaced from their home by fire yesterday. The Priesters are near and dear to our hearts. Austin is a Fika Family alumni and Kyle is one of our longest tenured employees and currently a store manager. Hello Everybody

In anticipation of the coming storm, both Fika locations will be closed tomorrow, Thursday the 14th.
While the snow depth may be manageable we are concerned with our staff traveling on what inevitably will be icy roads. We will allow our beloved plow teams to work their magic and reopen Friday as soon as reasonably possible. Thank you and stay safe!

Look for collection boxes at both shops starting Nov 10th.

Starting Friday, Nov 10, we'll begin collecting supplies for our 2nd annual Winter Backpacks for Homeless Program.

The community stepped up in a big way last year for the launch of this program, and we’d love your participation again this year!

A few details:
1) Donation bins will be available Nov 10 through Dec 9. Backpacks will be assembled on Dec 10 and will be available to anyone in the community that wants to pick one up to carry in their car starting at 5pm on Dec 10.
2) Our friends Josh & Anna Rivero, owners of Fika Coffee House, have graciously allowed us to put donation bins at both fika locations again this year. Thanks Josh and Anna!
3) For those who prefer shopping online, we've added an Amazon wishlist this year. You can purchase items and have them mailed directly to us. The list can be found at https://a.co/3LtGFYV
4) If you pick up a backpack to distribute, we encourage you to also add your own items to the backpacks. Gift cards, additional bus passes, extra non-perishable food items, etc.
5) If you have a group or organization gathering items for a group donation, please reach out to us directly to coordinate dates and pickup times.

Fifteen. Fika is fifteen years old. I am in awe. What started those many years ago as a little coffee shop on Mainstreet has grown to the resilient business it is today. In those 15 years Fika has hired and employed countless incredible people to serve you coffee and today is about them. We would not, we could not, be here today if it were not for the amazing people that have chosen to work at Fika through the years. Not a day goes by that someone doesn’t mention to me how great our staff is and I couldn’t agree more. 11 sets of siblings have worked with us, 11 families have blessed us with their kiddos. Two employees have recently surpassed 10 years with us! A few others are at 8 years and even more at 6 years with us. We know we sell good coffee and we’re not bragging (well maybe a little, thanks Kaladi) but we also know what makes us the best little coffee shop is our staff. Customer service has always been paramount to us and we have had a staff that embraces that belief. They are the best. They are what makes us Fika. They are what separates us from the pack. Parker is growing and the competition is coming but we’ll always have the best employees. We’ve got 15 years under our belt and we’re not going anywhere. Today we’re celebrating at the Tailgate from 1pm-5pm. We’ll have a section set aside with drinks and snacks for those who want to join us and I encourage any past employees to come by and say hi, because today is about you. /Josh

Hi All! As you know Fika is a huge supporter of our local schools and we may or may not have a special place in our hearts for the Legend High School Band. LHS Band is hosting a Casino Night at DeepSpace on March 31st from 7:00 pm to 10:30pm. We encourage you to join us for a great evening in supporting some wonderfully talented kids!
