Our philosophy is “Simple food, done well.” Why Five Generations Of Customers Agree. There are a few things I would like to set the record straight on. We know a lot of you loyal customers started coming here way back when but, please, don’t even start in about those 15 cent shakes you remember. About the music, well, those old records still play at different volumes, sometimes loud, sometimes not

so loud. Our philosophy is “Simple food, done well.” Everything is made from scratch, we only use the freshest ingredients, and our bakery puts out some of the finest pies and croissants you will ever taste. If you are a less-than-regular customer - come in a little more often. If you have not visited us - come and see what you have been missing.

In the summer, our salads are one of the best things you can order because they’re fresh, crisp, and satisfying without being too heavy. We make them with cool, vibrant ingredients like baby spinach, romaine, mixed greens, juicy tomatoes, mushrooms, apples, and bright, tangy vinaigrettes that really hit the spot on a warm day. We top them with flavorful touches like feta, Gorgonzola, pecans, bacon, or a hard-boiled egg to make sure they’re hearty enough to stand on their own. You can always add grilled chicken or salmon if you want something extra filling. Our salads keep things light and refreshing—perfect for when you want a delicious meal and still feel ready to enjoy a sunny afternoon in downtown Palo Alto.
