⭐️ This is it, friends. The last day of the Fair is coming to a close.

✨Today was First Responders Day, presented by Mat-Su Health Foundation, and we want to thank all the first responders who came to the Fair and those who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.

🎉 We’ve loved Celebrating 90 Years With You these past 14 days - celebrating Alaska agriculture, honoring the traditions and culture that make our state unique, and bringing joy, connection and delight to so many in so many ways.

🎨🥬 From the incredible people who grow and create here, to the artists, performers, vendors and families who make the Fair their own, these are the things that make the Alaska State Fair truly special. 🥁🍗

DAY 14 - Opening - Last Day

🚑🚓⛑️ It’s Day 14 at the Alaska State Fair, First Responders Day, presented by Mat-Su Health Foundation. And it’s 9/7 or “907 Day” to make it extra Alaskan! 🙌🏼

Today, we celebrate our police, firefighters, and EMS personnel by offering them $5 admission at the gate with valid ID. 👮🏽🧑🏻‍🚒

👋🏼 Say hello to local first responders at booths around the Fairgrounds. A perfect chance to thank them for their dedication and hard work.

👩‍🍳🧑🏼‍🍳 Tastebuds are tingling for the sizzling Food Network-style Alaska Beef Showdown with local professional chefs! 🥩 Vote at the People’s Choice tastings about 12:30 PM, 2:30 PM & 4:30 PM. At Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union Event Hall throughout the day.

🌟 Today we honor and celebrate Alaska’s active military and veterans with special events and savings. All military personnel (active and retired) receive Fair admission at the gate for just $5!

➡️ Each service member can bring up to 3 dependents at the discounted admission price by showing a valid military ID or proof of service at the Fair gate.

☀️ It’s Day 8 of the Alaska State Fair, CU1 Day, presented by Credit Union 1. Stop by their tent in Pioneer Plaza to learn more about them!

🌟 There is talent shining across the Fairgrounds. You won’t want to miss the Valley Quilters in the Hoskins Building, plus all the incredible performers on the stages, from The Gathering Place and Watering Hole to the Alyeska Pipeline Colony Stage and the Sluicebox. 🎶

🐿️ Not all of the Fair talent is human. Fall in love with Twiggy, the famous water-skiing squirrel showing her moves in the Alaska's News Source Corral.

At 12pm, get a load of the Livestock Costume Contest. Yes, you heard that right. Farm animals dressed up! 🐷🐮🤩 At the Craig Taylor Farm Exhibits.
