🎃👻 VFW Safety Harbor’s 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat was a SUCCESS! 👻🎃
The last two months have been stressful putting this event together, and just when I thought we had enough to worry about, the weather decided to say, “Let’s stress Tanya out a little more!” 😂🤦♀️
Between yesterday and today, we worked hard to get everything ready for tonight, and despite a few hiccups along the way, I’m so happy to say it was a successful event! ❤️
I truly cannot say THANK YOU enough to all the amazing VFW volunteers who helped throughout this entire process and to all the vendors who showed up, decorated, and handed out candy to the kids. We couldn’t have done it without you! 🙌🍬
We’re learning, growing, and figuring things out as we go, and that’s part of the process. I didn’t get nearly as many pictures as I wanted because I was running around like crazy! 😂 And I did leave for a little bit to see my son Cooper at homecoming, which I wouldn’t have missed for the world. ❤️
But here’s what really blew me away… as I was leaving, people were already showing up and lining up 30 minutes before we started! When I came back, people were parking down the road! 😱🎃
I would estimate that we had around 2,000 people come through the doors tonight — DOUBLE the turnout from last year! 🤯❤️
That is absolutely incredible, and I’m beyond grateful to everyone who came out to support our event.
At the end of the day, all the stress, long hours, last-minute changes, and hiccups are worth it when you see how many kids we were able to make happy. THAT is what it’s all about! 🥹❤️
