Today flower pieces and arrangements were ordered for Saturday, with the amazing ladies over at Blossoms And Bubbly in Clearwater. If you are searching for a florist to send flowers or an arrangement on Saturday we HIGHLY RECOMMEND Blossoms And Bubbly, these 3 ladies are VERY professional and KNOW their knowledge in all things floral! We obviously are not expecting anything, but we did just want to share a beautiful floral company and support another local business here in our area ❤️💐

Hello all,
My brother Joey, sister Angelica, Joe’s wife Antionette, and I Jacki want to thank every single person from the bottom of our hearts for all of the condolences and memories you have of our Father and Our Family Restaurant 💞🙏🏻 The past week has been VERY hard for ALL of us and our family as we continue to process this tragic loss 💔 We all feel lost, heartbroken, and absolutely devastated right now without Joe. He was our ROCK, he was our provider, he was our personal chef, and SO much more!

We want to share Joe’s service time with those who would like to come and say their final words 💔 We kindly ask that you sign or write a memory in the Tribute Book posted on the Curlew Hills website under his Obituary that we are going to purchase afterwards. 🙏🏻

Hello Big Joe’s Pasta House Family,

It is with our deepest sorrow that we share the passing of our father, Mario Joseph Nevola — known to all of you as Big Joe. On Sunday, September 27th, 2026 at 6:28 PM, Jesus welcomed him into His arms and guided him into the Kingdom of Heaven, where he will rest in eternal peace.

Joe passed peacefully, surrounded by his children, wife, sister, and loved ones. Many of you know how bravely he fought through serious heart conditions while we owned and operated BJPH, and long after our final supper on March 30th, 2024. After closing the restaurant, he endured multiple surgeries to place additional stents, battled a severe illness that required three more surgeries, and spent nearly a year recovering. Yet he never lost his spirit, his humor, his faith, passion for cooking, and spending time with family.

Big Joe wasn’t just the heart of our kitchen — he was the heart of our family, our community, and every plate of pasta or New York style pizza served in that dining room. He loved each of you who walked through its doors as extended family. Thank you for being part of his story, his joy, and his legacy.

Whether you were a longtime regular or someone walking in for the first time, Big Joe treated every customer with the same warmth and respect. He believed good food could make anyone feel at home. Anyone who ever worked a dinner rush with Big Joe knows the kitchen and dining room could get loud, fiery, and chaotic — but every shout came from a place of love, pride, and his New York attitude. Cooking our family’s Italian recipes was his purpose, and feeding the community, no matter your background or circumstance, was his way of giving back. He believed delicious Italian food and w**e was meant to bring people together.
