To Our Local Food Scene and Mobile Food Vendors,
The food truck industry was built on grit, long hours, and passion. It’s a community of independent entrepreneurs who take huge risks to share their craft with the public. At its best, this culture operates on a simple principle: a rising tide lifts all boats. When one truck draws a crowd, the entire block benefits.
Unfortunately, rapid growth and limited parking bring out an ugly side of the industry. Far too often, street food operators face malicious tactics from competitors—ranging from bad-faith regulatory reports and territorial harassment to intentional property tampering.
People in this industry need to stop being so cutthroat. Trying to sabotage the business next to you doesn't make your food taste better, and it doesn't make your business stronger. Let’s be honest: everyone in this town already knows who is pulling these cutthroat moves. Small communities talk, customers notice, and bad behavior never stays hidden for long.
Short-term sabotage will never replace long-term quality. Real success comes from hard work, clean operations, and respect for fellow vendors. It is time for people to put an end to the hostility, treat each other with basic decency, and let honest work speak for itself.Stop trying to force people to bye your food, by trying to eliminate other options… step your game up!!!
