To Our Long Doggers Family,
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend and fellow investor, Robert "Bert" Acosta, on July 7, 2026.
Bert was family. His enthusiasm and energy inspired us to open our second location, Post Road, where he served as both investor and General Manager from 2003 through 2007. He believed in this company and the people behind it, and he took real pride in watching Long Doggers grow.
Bert had a gift for connecting with people, sharing stories, making friends everywhere he went, and celebrating everyone else's success as if it were his own. That spirit lives on in the staff and investors he touched along the way.
On behalf of everyone at Long Doggers Eateries, our heartfelt condolences to Bert's family and friends. We are grateful for the time we had with him and for the mark he left on our company. He will be deeply missed and always remembered as one of our own.

Mass of Remembrance — Friday, July 10, 4:30 p.m., Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Melbourne.
Paddle Out — Saturday, July 11, 10:00 a.m., at Long Doggers Indialantic beach access, followed by comradery and a beer toast at the restaurant.
Celebration of Life — Saturday, July 11, 2:00–6:00 p.m., One Oak Event Venue, Melbourne.
