Opportunity for employment at That One Place:
Looking for a quick learner with a passion for helping people, and knowledge of kr8om and other botanicals like kava is preferred but can be learned.
This position will be running operations and preparing orders for shipment all over the country. Simple to explain- harder to do. It is a management in training position, so leadership experience is also preferred.
Simply put: We sell botanicals in-store, online, and wholesale to other companies.
Requirements:
Attention to Detail - there are a LOT of little things to remember. It is necessary to have a keen eye for details and an in depth understanding of why and how everything in this business works. Checking addresses, not missing order items, ensuring we don't run out of packaging, boxes, sellable items, etc.
Quick Learning - This is a small business. We grow, change and pivot all the time. Our ideal candidate learns quickly and adapts to change with a smile. There's a gigantic menu of items to learn. Basic chemistry, knowledge about each of our offerings and what each type can do- there's a whole education that comes along with working here. If you like learning about plants, biochemistry, business, chemistry, among other things- this is a good fit.
Familiar with Technology / Computers - Running operations will mean you have to operate multiple programs on multiple computer monitors efficiently. Programs include discord and shipstation. Printing labels (properly) to use with packaging. Sending emails and communicating with the team and customers.
Mathematical Aptitude - In order to do this job efficiently you must be able to quickly do basic math. With weight, with measurements, dollar amounts, and some basic math for our blend calculations we can teach you. We're not doing differential equations or anything, but your brain will need to be used on a daily basis.
Multitasking - There are multiple dimensions to this job. Never a dull day, and there are many little things to do. Much like a restaurant server- there is a process to follow but there are still many things that need done at any given time so you must prioritize them and get them done in an optimum timeline.
Memory - There's no time to look at a chart for every little thing. An ideal candidate has at least a decent memory to know what size orders fit in what packages. What labels go on what bags. What to do in what particular scenario, etc
Have your own transportation - Part of the job is bringing the packages to the post office. It is vital to have your own vehicle in order to bring these packages on time every day. We're also located in Palisade so you must be able to get out here on time to ensure packages are moving out. If you have a history of "not feeling it" or calling in, please don't apply.
Organized - I am not the best with organization. Unless you consider ADHD piles organization... I realize to compensate for what I may lack a new employee in this position should have some stronger organizational skills and tendencies. It will make the team better as a whole and will help tremendously with an operations position. We all watch out for each other.
-------------------------------------------------
The job will start out simple. A few weeks of one on one training to learn how to do the core operations and shipping. It will be prepping and packing orders. As time goes, more learning and more facets of the job will be learned to eventually act as a manager to lead the store.
Relevant experience isn't required, we'll train the right person willing to learn. This is a job with tons of growth potential. We have gone from a very small business barely getting by to a point where it can be difficult to keep up with demand (hence the need for another employee) and are still continually growing. Not many jobs give you a 1 on 1 inside learning opportunity with a business owner AND get paid for it. For younger candidates in particular, the learning and experience opportunity is invaluable.
We listen to music, talk, and do our thing all day. I like to keep a drama free, happy environment where we can just work in peace, and not dread going to work every day. Hours would be about 12pm-6pm Mon-Fri subject to a bit of change but likely will never be earlier than 10AM. No waking up early. Off by the evening. Weekends off. Doesn't get much better than that.
Starting pay about $14-15/hr, may change depending on experience. Please PM me and/or email your resume to

Thanks and have a great day everybody!
