We are excited to announce the AMAZING news that we received late yesterday afternoon (the good news just keeps coming... let's all ride this wave together):

Our Food Service Program was notified that we are being awarded the "No Kid Hungry" grant that will help us to kick off this brand-new Summer Breakspot program that's starting in June.

These funds are intended to help us remodel, repair, and overhaul one of SCC's old school buses and turn it into a mobile schoolie food truck... or simply put, transportation to deliver hundreds of meals to students in rural areas this summer. We are going to travel deep into the furthest stretches of the forests to feed students. This substantial amount of funds that they are so graciously giving to us will also help us to cover the initial high cost of labor.

We are ecstatic, elated, and feeling blessed to see a vision come to fruition that spawned a few years ago when Chef purchased this old clunker bus from SCC... and now we will have the ability to help with local food security issues through the summer and finally have a mobile fundraising machine for our Culinary Arts program.

This food service program is just getting started!!!

Hey there friends,
The Baptist Church in Paisley will be hosting the "Craft Vendor & Yard Sale" event this Saturday, March 29th. The Spring Creek Culinary Arts class are very excited to be providing a very eclectic food truck-styled menu (see photo of menu) for this event. We will be firing up the smoker and Paella grill so come by and see us for lunch.
$10/meal and all proceeds go towards our Culinary Arts program.
