Bananarama Bakery Sweet & Savory treats & bread at Big Island Farmers markets (Makuu Sunday) & store in Pahoa. Breads We also sell desserts! Locally owned and operated.

Located between the Lava Shack & Also at Kaimu Farmers Market every Saturday 8-12, and Makuu Farmers Market every Sunday 7-12. We sell Stromboli, which is like a Calzone or rolled up pizza which you dip into our marinara or garlic sauce. We also sell many types of bread, including sourdough, multigrain, gluten-free, Hawaiian sweet, whole wheat, jalapeño cheddar, cherry chocolate, and apricot ginge

r. A few dozen types of cake, cupcakes, 9 kinds of banana bread, several kinds of cookies, biscotti, muffins, cookie cake, cinnamon rolls, and much more. We cater to those who are gluten-free, vegan, sugar-free and those with other dietary restrictions so we have many such options. We even sell our own plant-based & gluten-free cheeses.

We are very excited to announce that one of our amazing bakers is now selling her own vegan & gluten-free baked goods, INCLUDING OUR GLUTEN-FREE BREAD!

Heather was with us at the beginning and end of our 4 years.

Available via custom order and 3 times per week at markets.

She has her own version of other favorites such as ginger cookies, ube cookies, and some of our cakes. She’s even selling bagels and other things we never did, along with her art. The gluten-free bread is just like ours but with potato starch instead of rice flour as an ingredient for an even better texture!
