Stopped by last night. Chris said the owners of the Atrium building (860 Via de la Paz) would not be rebuilding. I guess the big For Sale sign makes it official.
Stood for awhile on what’s left of the red quarry tile in the spot that was in front of the ovens. Just a few months short of forty years (if you don’t count the year it took to set up, build, and get it open. Or the three years before that of saving all my bonuses and every other penny I could pinch.)

We know the vast majority of our customers have lost either their homes, their neighbor’s homes, or both.
The loss of most everything that was Pacific Palisades is overwhelming.
It might be awhile before we’re making pizza again.

Palisades Pizza is open for business!

It’s been a long week waiting for oven parts to arrive, but they showed up yesterday and as of 5:30pm today both ovens are fired up and cooking pizzas!
