On Angels’ Wings has meant so much to our family. At our first session, we didn’t know if those photos would be the only family pictures we would ever have. Theo was incredibly sick and unstable, and we had no idea how much time we would get with our sweet boy.
Our second session was during the sixth month of our seven-month NICU stay. Life after the hospital was still very uncertain, but Theo was getting bigger and stronger, and we couldn’t wait to be home together as a family. Those photos captured his first—and only—hospital room with a closet. It may seem like a small detail, but it was such a blessing to hang up my baby’s clothes and make it feel a little more like home.
Our third session took place shortly after we got home. We had the same photographer from Theo’s first session, and she got to celebrate with us after seeing just how sick and tiny he had been. She captured Theo outside—his favorite place to be—along with his crib, the progression of diaper sizes throughout his hospital stay, and the beauty of everyday life at home.
Our fourth session was last fall and captured Theo’s strength, determination, and personality more than ever before. We have now been home for two years, and we continue to stand in awe of how the Lord has worked in our sweet boy’s life.
This is just a glimpse of what On Angels’ Wings provides for families. Because Theo’s diagnosis is lifelong, we will continue to have a family session with them each year. They serve families on all kinds of journeys, giving them the gift of professional photographs and treasured memories. They photograph children born asleep, siblings after loss, and families walking through difficult and uncertain seasons.
