This year's U.S. C***r Open will be judged in two locations: Welland, Ontario, and Oxford, Ohio. The change comes in response to the U.S. restrictions that prevent Canadian hard c***r from crossing the border. Because of the added judging site, final registration deadlines and sample shipping dates have also changed, and we will now announce winners on November 11th. Thank you for your patience.

Key dates:
U.S. Registration deadline: October 14th
Canadian Registration Deadline: Oct. 23rd
U.S. Sample delivery window: October 9th–21st

The 12th annual U.S. Open C***r Registration has begun! First a big salute to all the Grand National Champions. We have had 8 different c***ries win the overall Grand National Champions. Woodchuck C***r, C***rboys and Arsenal C***r House have each won twice. These winners have come from as far north Ontario Canada to as far South as Fort Lauderdale, Florida. And, as far west as Corvallis, Oregon to as far east as Walden, New York.

Arsenal C***r House & W**e Cellar in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has claimed the Grand National Champion title at the 2025 U.S. Open C***r Championship for the second time in the competition’s history, racking up an impressive haul of 3 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze medals.

The 2025 Thumper Award
This award is named in memory of Andy “Thumper” Rich, the c***rmaker for Arsenal C***r House and the 2020 U.S. Open C***r Grand National Champion. Thumper, a pioneer in the craft c***r and b**r industries, passed away on December 5, 2023, at his home in Dormont, Pennsylvania, after a courageous battle with cancer.

The Thumper Award will be presented annually to the c***r and c***ry awarded “Best of Show.” This year, the Thumper Award is presented to Arsenal C***r House & W**e Cellar's Alfred’s Pear, Son!. Additionally, the U.S. Open C***r Championship will donate proceeds from this year’s competition to the National Brain Tumor Foundation in Thumper’s honor.
