Hurrah!
A storefront? In this economy?
You read that correctly, after years of hauling this sign around, Drizzle has found a home!
Back in 2019, I packed a few baked goods and my 5 month old into the car I borrowed from my in-laws and set up for my first Owosso Farmers Market on Exchange st. A few years, many mistakes, and a Food Network show later, I am so happy (and terrified) to be moving into 110 Exchange st. and to be a part of the Downtown Owosso family! It feels like a new adventure and coming home at the same time.
This was not an easy choice. It's not the safe choice. But we were given the opportunity to find out what I could grow into with a professional space (my home oven is tired, y'all), and it was time to take it. I have so many dreams already built into these walls, I can't wait to share them with this community!
For the immediate future, this space will be used mostly as my studio, a consultation/pickup spot and a place for me to hold classes. I will be open for special dessert counters and themed events, among other plans. We will not be a daily bakery, choosing to focus on what I'm best at...custom art!
Right now I am working hard to make this historic building smell permanently of butter and sugar. Once all the clerical boxes are checked, we will throw a homecoming party for you all to attend! Until then, if you see me working upstairs, feel free to join me for a cuppa!
Cheers to 2024, and here's to making Owosso the sweetest city in Michigan!
