Meet our General Manager, Spenser Clark
We're proud to introduce the man who'll be running the day-to-day at Mezze Street Kitchen and Mezze Market when the doors open next month.
Spenser is a Murray State graduate with more than ten years in kitchens and dining rooms around Owensboro. He's been Sous Chef at The Lodge Sports Pub and Head Chef at both The Farmhouse and Shiloh's Lounge and Grill. He knows what it takes to run a line, build a menu, and keep a team moving on a busy night.
A lot of you already know him from outside the kitchen. He started the local food page Beyond the Menu and organizes Owensboro Hot Dog Week. Over the years he's spent countless hours helping other restaurants, food trucks, and people just getting started in the industry, sharing what he's learned and asking nothing in return. He's even gotten ordained to marry couples who asked. That's the kind of person he is: if there's a way to bring people together, he'll find it.
That's exactly why we wanted him here. Spenser brings creativity, a knack for solving problems, and a genuine way with people. His goal for the store is simple: make it more than a place to grab a bowl or shop Mezze Market for Lebanese groceries. He wants it to be a spot where good food, real hospitality, and community all come together.
