But today’s got a little extra sweetness! 🥹💙 Our brand-new mascot and grandbaby, Harrison, is officially working his VERY FIRST SHIFT! 👶🏼🤠

He may not be big enough to run the smoker just yet, but he’s already the cutest member of the crew! ❤️

We couldn’t be prouder of Brianna for bringing home 2nd Place for Best Dessert at the Bluegrass Food Truck Showdown — in a statewide competition, y’all! 🏆👏

I apologize for being M.I.A last week, we had some pretty big things going on! As some of you may know, my passion for this business stemmed from helping my parents run Hillbilly’s BBQ. I took over doing desserts for the truck and instantly fell in love!

Well this past weekend Hillbilly’s attended a statewide Food Truck competition, and my dessert placed 2nd! We entered my Cookie Butter Tres Leches Cake, and I am still in shock that something I created received that kind of recognition!

I am also so incredibly grateful for everything Hillbilly’s has given me over the years! From being the place I discovered my passion to giving me the opportunity to use their commercial kitchen to create things I couldn’t make for B’s. Having that space to learn and experiment has played a huge part in how far I’ve come, and I’m very fortunate to have these opportunities.

What an unexpected surprise! 🥹🏆

We just found out that Hillbilly’s BBQ was voted GOLD Winner for Family Food Truck in Owensboro Parent Magazine! We didn’t even know we were part of the voting, so this makes it even more special. ❤️

Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us and continues to support our family business. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you!

And a huge congratulations to J's Good Grub and all of the other winners! Owensboro is lucky to have so many amazing local businesses. 🙌

We are proud. We are exhausted. We are emotional. And more than anything, we are GRATEFUL.
