It is with mixed emotions that I write you "Goodbye". After forty plus years, I feel that it is not feasible to reopen at this time. To all of you that have made dining with us on Good Friday and Easter Sunday a yearly tradition, we are truly sorry.
Speaking on behave of the entire Slick family, I would like to thank all of our loyal patrons that have made it possible for us to keep the doors open since 1979. With your support, the Slick "Family of employees” swelled to well into the hundreds. You made it possible for some of these friends and coworkers to earn enough money to buy their first car, or help pay their college tuition. You helped with rent, car payments, utilities & food bills of so many others in our extended family.
We appreciated the opportunity to be a small part of some of your weddings, rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, and sports banquets. We will truly miss all of our daily and weekly friends and we regret we can’t say goodbye in person.
It has been our pleasure to serve of all you all these years and we thank you so much for your valued friendship and support.
Sincerely,
Samuel E. Slick Jr. and Hideyo Slick
