Hey everyone!

We're excited to announce that starting October 1st, 2026, our Ortnville store will be closed on Mondays. We love seeing the community come together over coffee on the weekends and want to keep that tradition going strong. Mondays are usually pretty slow anyway, so why not take this opportunity to work on some behind-the-scenes stuff?

Just a reminder that our Great Lakes Mall location will still be open seven days a week. Thanks for your support and understanding!

Thanks for being here. Thanks for believing in us. I'm glad you did.

When I started Simba Coffee Co., I didn't know how many people would show up. You did. And you keep showing up.

Every morning when I turn on the espresso machine, I think about that. About all of you who made this more than a coffee shop.

So here's to you — the neighbors who became regulars, the regulars who became friends, and the friends who became family.

Kick start with a roar. We'll see you tomorrow.

Dear valued customers,
we regret to inform you that we will no longer be offering filtered Ortonville water in our coffee. The water quality has had a negative impact on our equipment, and in order to uphold the high standard of our coffee, this change is necessary. We have found an alternative source for water.

Consequently, there will be a slight price increase due to the higher cost of raw materials. This adjustment will be implemented starting this week. We appreciate your understanding.

We are grateful for your ongoing support and the many familiar faces that have visited us at Great Lakes. It is always a pleasure to see familiar faces in a new environment. Ortonville holds a special place in our hearts, much like Seattle does for Starbucks!

Update: We are currently compiling a comprehensive list of all necessary parts that need to be replaced by the manufacturer, as the machine is still under warranty. Despite finalizing the list, it will unfortunately take an additional 10-15 days to resume normal operations. Please note that we will be temporarily closing tomorrow and reopening on Thursday. We will be serving coffee and various cold lattes. For those who have inquired about picking up coffee bags, starting Thursday onwards, we will be open. We are dedicated to supporting this community, and I personally urge you to stand by us during this challenging time, considering the high cost of these machines. A single unit can cost approximately $12,000 or more. Here’s how you can help; it’s only latte lovers affected. If you love your hot latte, please try an iced latte just for the next 10 days or so.

Oh, what a tragedy! Our precious espresso machine is getting some TLC in the ICU tomorrow, so unfortunately, we'll be closed in Ortonville. Don't worry, we'll keep you updated once the attending doctor gives us the juicy details. If you're desperate for a caffeine fix, our Great Lakes Mall location will be serving up coffee from 10am to 9pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
