Gideon's Bakehouse began in a home kitchen with one goal: to create an extraordinary Chocolate Chip Cookie. Fifteen years and thousands of tests later, the work was complete. It is a history, the sweet and the salty, the thrill of a first kiss, and the solitude of a heartbreak. Our desserts are emotional, personal, and we want to share our journey with you. We stay true to the original process, cutting no corners, putting every handmade detail into the 20 hours required to prepare a single almost half pound Cookie or a tall slice of Cake. The OG Gideon's at the East End Market is joining their First Friday Event with a dessert so outrageously decadent to create that we once swore it would never see the light of day again. But against all odds, Cookie Butter Pudding is making its legendary return for a brief moment! This indulgent composition begins with a velvet-smooth layer of Cookie Butter Sauce, piled high with a mountain of Cookie Butter Pudding, showered in crunchy Biscoff Cookie crumbles, and finished with billowy ripples of whipped cream. For the final flourish, a Butterscotch sticker seals the magic, because every detail is a celebration.⁣

Secrets. There are a lot of them these days. Some will be unveiled in October, but others … well, I’m holding on tight for a while. With that said, we have a secret for you today! This never-before-seen unique Baklava Cake Slice is available TODAY ONLY at both locations while supplies last. And today is also a big birthday for my beautiful mother, so this one is dedicated to her. Since Gideon’s is so personal, she’s your mom too, so to unlock the secret slice at the shops, wish mom a Happy Birthday at the register!
