My heart is heavy as I write this.
My dear uncle, a devoted family man and a beloved member of his community, has recently moved into a nursing home. Saying goodbye to the home he built over so many years has been incredibly difficult for all of us.

We are now facing the bittersweet task of downsizing his belongings. To help make this transition as smooth as possible, we’re offering the items below on a first-come, first-served basis so they can find new homes with people who will appreciate them.

🚨 Important Information About Reservations

I’ll be out of town assisting with his move and will return Sunday. If you’d like to reserve an item, a deposit is required to hold it until I return and you’re able to see it in person.

All deposits are 100% refundable if you decide not to move forward after viewing the item.

If you’d like more information about any item or how deposits work, please message me directly.

We want to wish Angel a happy birthday and congratulate him for the amazing progress he has made as a young man. Angel has been with us for almost 2 years. He started out in Orlando and took the long journey to help at our location at sunrise. When hurricane Ian hit , he was one of the first people to rush to help us in Fort Myers. He’s a young kid who is very talented in the kitchen and has a heart of gold. Last year when he started working for us in Sunrise, he was about 30 pounds lighter and lived in a house with no running water. Fast forward one year later and he’s a leader in the kitchen making me a good wage, and just got his driver’s license and now has a van. I should also mention that his fiancé Bella is pregnant and due in October is crazy to think that in one year with FK Your Diet he was able to achieve so much. We are so proud of him and we are so thankful that he has become a part of our family.

The Power Ball is upto 900 million dollars and I just bought a ticket and a guy asked me what I would do if I won. I told him I would start a restaurant when people could eat even if they couldn't afford it and try and make my community a better place. You reach a certain age and true happiness can only be attained by trying to help another human whether it's your family, friends or strangers. I hope whoever wins is a helper. Good luck. Love you all

We’ve been looking for you. Those words made Mr cry today. A few days we received a message from a customer who wanted to bring her family into the restaurant to meet me. They came in today and told me about their amazing life. Their early childhood consisted of being abandoned at different babysitters and their mom and never coming back to pick them up. Their dad’s were no where to be found. Being abandoned turned them into foster kids. All in all this family of 4 children got separated. As I believe I understood it, the abandonment happened at different times. The two brother’s got to stay together and the oldest child a daughter got sent to a different home and youngest child another daughter got sent to another different home. Because this happened at such a young age, the kids lost touch and 40 to 50 years had passed. One of the brother’s and maybe the older sister had looked for their younger sister for more than 20 years. One day the younger sister does one of those DNA tests and had multiple matches for siblings she has never met or at least no memory. She sends one of her matches a quick note and the response is we have been looking for you. I think everyone that has been adopted or been a foster kid would probably admit we daydream about finding or being found by our real family. If only to know your not alone. I know I would love to hear those words, we’ve been looking for you. Love you all, I hope we all get found. I realize my picture taking needs some work lol

Never met my dad. Became a dad at 23. They don't teach you that in school. I figured I would do the exact opposite of the things I hated growing up. I became the neighborhood dad. I was the fun dad. I would be called that and I know it was not meant as an compliment but I kinda liked being the fun dad. I didn't drink and had no interest in joining softball or a bowling league, so I hung out with my kids and their friends. We had rules. While your with me I pay. This allowed my kids to invite anyone. No kid had to miss out on movies, trips, or games. I didn't have a mommy and daddy to even ask for movie money when I was a kid so I would get left out and it sucked. Being the fun dad also allowed me to do everything I didn't get to do as a kid and boy did I make up for a sh*tty childhood. Went to every ballpark for major league baseball with my sons. Every big movie Primere, we would go with all their friends to first showing which was midnight on Thursdays. We would buy candy and popcorn and soda and all their friends were with us. Saturday morning pancake eating contests. Before and after school party, the whole school would come. Every thing I wanted as a child I did with my kids. Fun dad you betcha. Being the fun dad also gave me access to my sons and their friends, they would get the Doug talks, tell them right from wrong, I was there when they needed someone to talk too. Now as a grandpa I don't know what I would of done differently, I did the best I could and I've done only 2 things in my life perfectly, every decisions I made for the kids at the time I made them, it was the best option I could think of. They say hind site is 20 20, maybe I shouldn't of spoiled them but at the time I wanted them to have the best. So if you wonder why we try and help kids at FK I'm still trying to run away from a sh*tty childhood and replacing horrible memories with one's of love and giving. Happy fathers day weekend love you all and cheers to the fun dads.
