Hello Friends! Stephanie here. What a fun Tuesday we had at the cafe! The dinning room was buzzing with activity and chatter. Carlton was on a roll this morning getting those tables spotless and making coffees. Terry, bob and I were there early preparing and making special items like English Muffin Bread, Cupcakes and Danishes. Elisha and Charlene soon joined us to troubleshoot my new breakfast special ideas and boy did they NAIL THEM!
The Bruschetta toast received rave reviews and Charlene plated them so beautifully! Elisha created the perfect combination of ingredient amounts in those Pesto Breakfast Quesadillas and the combo knocked socks off! Carol, who has not been with us for a few weeks due to reasons out of her control, stopped in for a visit and we were all able to get our much needed hugs from her. She is so missed!
How grateful are we to have such an incredible team, no, FAMILY of people within these walls. YOU INCLUDED!
You fill our walls with words of support and care, happy laughter and conversation and always walk in smiling. THANK YOU!
Tomorrow, we are still offering Pesto Quesadillas and Bruschetta toast while ingredients last. BUT WAIT! There's more... Terry is making her small town famous homemade waffles and we're making them Red, White and Blue with strawberries, whip cream and blueberries. Served with local syrup from Old Town Farm of course.
I will not be in-house tomorrow as Aubrey and I are headed to the beach for the day, but Lisa will be at the counter to greet you and Terry will be in and out of the kitchen excited to greet you as well.
OH! I also made a dutch apple pie this afternoon which will be ready for slicing and serving come tomorrow morning. This is an apple pie made with a sweet streusell topping rather than the usual crust. Order a slice warm with whipped cream! Be sure to send your reviews back to me.
I hope you have a happy Wednesday with the cafe crew and I will see you all on Thursday!
