If it isn’t well with your circumstances, God can make it well with your soul. Give Him your heartache and let Him comfort you. He may not change your circumstances, but He will change your perspective.

God, give us the song You want us to sing — “whatever my lot, You have taught me to say, it is well, it is well with my soul.” Teach us to trust You. Give us grace to receive what You allow and faith to believe that You work all things together for good. Amen.

Focus on the Family

"The heart of a man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." - Proverbs 16:9

If life has taken a turn against the plans you had, know that it's okay to struggle with that disappointment. And know that the Lord is establishing a path for you.

A meaningful life with God is often built through simple daily choices. Spend time with Him, care for your body, be present with the people you love, and keep choosing joy even when life feels heavy. You do not have to have everything figured out. Just keep taking the next faithful step, keep your heart thankful, and keep drawing closer to Jesus every day.

“Come near to God and he will come near to you.” James 4:8
