This is not easy to say, but it is necessary. For more than three years, I have poured myself into this place. I opened the doors, made the coffee, served the community, built relationships, and watched strangers become family. Owning something meaningful in my hometown has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I will always be grateful.
But the past year has taken a lot out of me. Some of you have seen me hobbling, missing days, and being less present than I wanted to be dealing with personal situations and carrying way too much on my plate.
When you spend all your time serving everyone else, eventually you have to ask whether you are still taking care of yourself.
After wrestling with this decision for months, The Coffee Shop will close on August 21.
This was not an easy choice, but it is the right one. I am proud of what I built here. This was never just a coffee shop. It was proof that something special could be created in my hometown through hard work, love, and community.
Now, I’m making room for what comes next. So many new beginnings are already in motion that need and deserve my attention. Please come see us over the next few weeks. Serving you has been one of the greatest pleasures of my life.
Thank you for believing in me, supporting this place, and allowing me to call it home. This isn’t goodbye, but more so a see you later because you will.
Thank you.
