Behind the Banner
Today we are honored to recognize William "Bill" Hendrickson, one of the veterans featured on our Flags of Honor banners in downtown Oneonta.
Bill dedicated more than 36 years of service to the United States Navy, rising from an enlisted sailor to the rank of Captain and commanding the USS Nebraska. His distinguished career included leadership roles in the Navy's nuclear submarine program, helping train future generations of sailors and ensuring the readiness of our nation's submarine fleet.
Today, Bill continues to serve his community through volunteer work and civic involvement here in Oneonta. We are proud to honor his service, leadership, and commitment to both our country and our hometown.
