Not a great night. I did manage to get a good night sleep, and I feel a little better today (it would be hard to feel worse than yesterday). I was "planning" to head down and give it the "old college try."
Dee was kind enough to remind me that the only thing I had in common with that phrase was "OLD" and she told me I was staying home and to "try and not die!" I sure hope I don't let her down😉
This does throw a little wrench in my plans as I figured either, I'd be ready or we'd be closed. Dee went with option 3 and basically fired me😢
We or more correctly SHE will be opening at 1pm and getting the day started with our Early Bird Special and "the Best Deal in Lunch!" Available until 3pm. At 3pm we (and by we, I mean her and Alex) are serving up a classic Loaded Sub Sandwich. Each 6-inch Hoagie roll is loaded with thin sliced Turkey, Honey Cured Ham, Spicy Pepperoni and Bacon. Topped with cheese, lettuce and fresh tomato. Your Sub Sandwich is served with fries for just $12.

Yes, Dee does have someone coming in to help out. That said we will NOT be running a 100% and your patience is GREATLY appreciated.

Happy Wednesday, I hope this finds you well.
I know I have been "lazy" about getting any posts up the last couple of days and I apologize for that.
I took (let's call it) advantage of our closed days and took 2 REAL days off. It all sounds great so far, but I opted to spend those days fishing with Mister Neil Rico. It sounded like a lot of fun. Grabbed a battery and put a little line on a rod I had laying around........and waited.....and waited. Apparently, Neil had decided to dehydrate a pork shoulder, and we weren't going to head out until "sunset." Once he had successfully incinerated his dinner, we headed to Riffe. The fishing was less than we had hoped, putting only 2 fish in the boat (both of those were caught by me, but who's counting🤣)
As we loaded up to go home, we decided to try and hit the Chehalis River the next day. Apparently WDFW feels the bass are keeping the salmon runs down (not the nets, not the sealions, just those pesky bass). The Chehalis is so "overrun" with bass, they have no size or bag limits.
With a new day and a much earlier start we headed to the launch. That is where I learned of what I will FOREVER call "the Rico Affect." As I waited for him to get there I watched as a lady backed down to get "her boat." When she pulled out the boat was an electrofishing boat (often called a "stunboat"). I decided to talk with the crew, they had been out KILLING all the smallmouth bass. While I talked with the crew a second boat came up the ramp.....yep, another "stunboat." That day they had caught and KILLED 600+ bass and DUMPED them in the river. They didn't donate the fish to our ever-growing homeless population or serve them to the inmates in our bloated prison system, just dumped them and left them to rot.
Despite the disheartening report, we decided to try and get further upriver than they had "shocked". We put several miles on and again put just 2 fish in the boat (I am not going to say "who" caught them, but it wasn't Neil😎)
To make matters worse, I started feeling crappy. When I got home, things went from suck to blow, and I really felt like crap.
This morning I did manage to get up and on the road. I got us restocked and even got 85 pounds of burger ground for the week ahead. I know there has been some sort of a "bug" going around. That said, I can't rule out the possibility that Neil was so frustrated after getting spanked for 2 days in a row, that he tried to poison me😷
As of right now I/we are planning to be open and ready for tomorrow, but it is really going to depend on this evening and tomorrow morning. With a little luck and a lot of rest, I can get this behind me quickly.

Sunday Fun DAY is here and that means, cold beers, fast cars and Tony Tears here at the All In! We have had an absolutely AMAZING week (make that month) here and we have one more great day dialed up! Things kickoff with our Early Bird menu, and "the Best Deal in Lunch." Our Early Bird is available daily from open to 3pm!
For our regular special, we are "sliding" into June with the return of our always popular "Double, Double" Cheeseburger Sliders! These "bite sized" burgers are STACKED with 2 juicy grilled to order seasoned patties and 2 slices of melted Cheese served on a toasted bun with diced onion, fresh tomato and crispy pickle. Each order comes with 2 sliders and fries for just $10!!!
Then at 4:19pm (I can already heat "Downtown" whining) it is time for NASCARS Cracker Barrel 400, streaming on BOTH the big TV's!
Come on down, grab a beer, get something to eat and enjoy watching Tony cry about how much he hates "late races!"

On a more personal note, I wanted to share a story. Yesterday after getting the Dinos on the grill, I ran to town to get a few supplies. On my way back, I needed fuel, so I took Hwy 12 so I could fill up at D9. Admittedly, I "rarely" eat breakfast......at least not in the morning, breakfast for dinner is a WHOLE other story😎 Regardless, I was hungry and didn't feel like cooking when I got back to the All In. I went inside and grabbed a breakfast sandwich out of the hot case. I went with the Dozer on an Everything Bagel. If you haven't had one of these sandwiches.......I highly recommend you give it a try. I can confidently say, "it was the best thing I have EVER gotten out of a deli case." It was hot, fresh and delicious and the simple (somewhat humbling) fact is I don't think I could make it ANY BETTER myself.
To put this is "proper context," this wasn't "good for a hot case sandwich," it was just GOOD! I can honestly say "if" I was served this at any "sit down" breakfast diner, I would have been satisfied and completely happy. The crew at D9 is next level and 100% worth paying a visit! Keep up the AMAZING work!

Happy Saturday my friends. I am certain you have figured out that we are smoking some "Dino Ribs" today for our special.
Before I get into the details, I wanted to apologize for the behavior of my friend Neil. Many of you seen how Neil attacked me in our first post of the day. Admittedly I was surprised by his seemingly unprovoked aggression. Especially after reaching out to our community yesterday to "help Neil with his words." As I pondered how to proceed, it accrued to me his attack wasn't done out of anger or hatred, but rather born of frustration. I was able to imagine poor Neil's anguish as he struggles to read even simple things. He cannot share in the majesty, power and raw emotion of the written word. For Neil this must be a hellish struggle. To that end, I have made it a personal goal to help Neil learn to read. I want to get the little fella a brand new Hooked on Phonics. With time and a great deal of effort, he too can share in the gift of reading. Don't worry little buddy, we got you🤣😎🤣
With that I'll get back to the business of the day. We are kicking things off with our Early Bird menu and "the Best Deal in Lunch." Available from open to 3pm daily.
For our dinner special we have what I consider to be "the BEST bight in BBQ" the legendary Dino Rib. Also known as the beef plate rib and short rib.
These ribs are dry rubbed with our house made SPG rub and smoked to 175(ish). At that point we wrap the ribs and add in a little bit of beer and get them right back on the heat where they gradually raise to a prob tender 203 degrees. Ounce they are 203*....well, we wait. They absolutely 1000% need to rest at LEAST 45 minutes. When they are finally ready, they are sliced for service!!! Each order comes with one massive beef Dino Rib served "naked" with a side of our house made Whiskey BBQ sauce. I tend to serve all our smoked meats naked as I want YOU to be able to put as much or as little sauce on as YOU want.
Each rib is served with our Mac Salad, a bowl of slow roasted baked beans, (small) buttered corn on the cob and garlic bread for $25
While I can't guarantee exactly when these will be ready, I feel "fairly confident" the first orders should be ready by 3pm(ish)

The Dinos are coming along nicely. Just about time to wrap a few.
