We are reopening Wed. Sept. 2nd!
An anonymous private donor donated funds to help all the businesses struggling during the construction of the streetcar line. Whoever you are, thank you. Also, thank you to all of our customers for your kind words and support. Join us at the restaurant next week to celebrate our grand reopening! Chef Jason has a new 3 course prix fixe dinner planned for Friday and Saturday evening!

We've made some minor changes to help us be sustainable during the next 16 months of streetcar construction. We will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We will have a smaller food menu on Sundays - Thursdays and a 3 course prix fixe dinner every Friday and Saturday evening in addition to our smaller menu options. The weekend prix fixe dinner menu will change monthly. We will also have a food special often that is not on the menu. Our kitchen hours will remain mostly the same (see hours below). We also plan to start having local bands play on Wednesday evenings from 7pm - 10pm. We will continue to have your favorite DJ’s and dance music on Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm - 1:30am. Bands or DJ’s interested in playing please email us at [email protected].

Plenty of Parking
There is still always plenty of parking available in the Blackstone parking garage at 325 S 38th St which is free for the first 2 hours and 2 blocks from our restaurant. There is also a Park Omaha lot right behind our restaurant at 3922 Harney St. that is only $1 an hour.

Fifth House is permanently closed as of today.

It's a long story. In short, from the day we opened we have not had enough sales to be sustainable. Also, recently we have had several HVAC and kitchen equipment failures that forced us to close our doors for a few days. Those repairs cost us thousands of dollars and we lost out on revenue because we had to be closed while they were getting repaired. There have been other factors as well.

We enjoyed the time while it lasted and appreciated all the support from our customers.

We were forced to create a new website, Google Business Profile, and phone number Long story, but we didn't have a choice. We know this is not ideal. We are getting things migrated and it may take a few days. Rest assured that we are open even though a Google Business Profile may say otherwise during this migration period. This page and www.5thHouseOmaha.com are the best places to see our hours and latest news. Our new phone number is 531-375-5106. It's been a hell of a month, but we will get through it thanks to those who come to our restaurant. Thank you for supporting small locally owned businesses like ours.

The compressor for our kitchen AC unit went out which is forcing us to be closed today July 26 and tomorrow July 27. We are normally closed on Tuesdays. We plan to be open again on Wednesday, July 29. Losing 2 days or revenue and spending thousands of dollars in repair costsis going to impact our business.
