Siomai made its Olney debut at the Gathering Market last August—and it’s back this weekend!

So, what is siomai? It’s a Filipino-style steamed dumpling filled with seasoned pork, shrimp, vegetables, and savory spices. Each dumpling is handmade from scratch with fresh, readily available ingredients.

Tender, flavorful, and served with our homemade dipping soy and honey sauce and a drizzle of chili oil, siomai is the perfect delicious introduction to Filipino food!

🧡 Olney Gets the First Taste 💛

The Olney Market—and our occasional hometown pop-ups—will always be special to Summer’s Street Eats.

This is where we serve the favorites you already know and love, while reserving one place on the menu for something completely new.

Whenever SSE introduces a new dish, we want Olney to taste it first. You’ll have the first opportunity to try it, share your thoughts and help us decide whether it’s ready to travel to events outside our hometown.

If Olney loves it, we’ll know it’s ready for the road! 🇵🇭🇺🇸
