Last month, Corley shared her only 5-star read of the year (The Things We Cannot Say by Kelly Rimmer), but she never shared the book that kicked off her entire historical fiction obsession in 2026!

Finished on January 2nd, The Last Bookshop in London by Madeline Martin held top spot on Corley’s reading list for almost the entire year—earning a stellar 4.5 out of 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨

Why Corley loved it:

📖 Relatable Community Vibes: As a shop owner, reading about the heart and resilience of running a small-town bookshop hit very close to home.

💣 Eye-Opening History: Experiencing the daily reality of the London Blitz through WWII was both intense and deeply moving.

If you love historical fiction, cozy bookish settings, or stories about community strength in hard times, this one is a must-read!

Grab a copy off our shelves this week and let us know—have you read this one yet? 👇
