Happy National Picnic Day!

Have an adventure with Fern today and take a picnic to a friends to enjoy together.

This project was inspired by some of my favorite memories as a mom and taking the kids shopping, letting them help choose ingredients, and making something special together.

Simply save the photos, print them at home, and enjoy a little woodland picnic adventure with your family.

Tomorrow is National Picnic Day!

Here is a perfect kid friendly cookie recipe. Simple to make and it really is a delicious cookie.

Tomorrow I have a full packet to post for a fun summer activity.

It’s one of our family traditions when the kids were younger and out of school for breaks I would have them pick something fun to make in the kitchen and make it a full learning experience.

They would start with a list of what was needed. Took them to the grocery store for them to learn how to navigate shopping and checking things off a list. Then we would come home and make memories. It’s my favorite tradition 😍

The desk wasn’t messy because I was lazy.

It was messy because I was healing.

Three weeks ago, I had surgery. Since then, I’ve spent a lot of time resting, recovering, watching movies, and learning that sometimes the most productive thing you can do is slow down.

Today, I cleaned off my desk.

It’s not a huge accomplishment in the grand scheme of things. It’s just a desk.

But today it felt like progress.

A reminder that healing isn’t standing still.

A reminder that little victories count too.

And for the first time in weeks, I feel a little more like myself again. 💗

💕 Tonight’s Dinner: Filthy Cabbage 💕

Before anyone makes a face at the name… trust me. 😂

This is one of those recipes that sounds questionable but ends up being the thing everyone goes back for seconds of.

✨ Bacon
✨ Ground beef
✨ Garlic
✨ Peppers
✨ Jalapeño
✨ Cabbage
✨ Served over fluffy rice

And because tomatoes and I are not on speaking terms, this Pink Palace version skips the tomato paste completely and is still packed with flavor.

The best part? It’s one pot, budget-friendly, feeds a crowd, and somehow tastes even better the next day.

Nathan has already approved today’s fresh pico recipe, the beans were a hit yesterday, and tonight we’re moving on to another comfort food classic from our Summer Dinner Project. 💗

I may have accidentally started a new obsession.

After ordering my new fridge drink dispenser, I knew exactly what had to go in it first… Strawberry Lemonade! 💕

There is just something about opening the fridge and seeing a pretty pitcher full of fresh strawberries and lemons waiting for you. It feels a little fancy, a little nostalgic, and a whole lot like summer.
