Clarity Coffee is a simple coffee shop on the western edge of downtown OKC roasting in house and serving a small menu of traditional coffee and espresso drinks as well as flavored lattes, teas, lemonade, hot chocolate, and freshly baked pastries.

This is our second single farmer Ethiopia, a rare and exciting thing in an area where this would have been impossible 15 years ago. Zelelu’s farm is an incredible example of truly wild coffee production in Ethiopia. Coffee trees grow amongst other trees and vegetation. Zelelu owns his own hand depulper and drying beds for processing coffee which is fairly rare in Ethiopia. Zelelu is a part of the Addis Katema Cooperative in the Wenago woreda. He’s a deeply committed coffee producer and runs his farm alongside his wife Kasech.

This is our first pink bourbon variety.

🎀 PINK BOURBON:
CULTIVATED FROM HYBRIDIZATION OF RED AND YELLOW BOURBON. IT’S VERY RARE, BUT THE PRODUCERS SAY IT IS QUITE RESISTANT TO RUST. PINK AND ORANGE BOURBONS ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO PRODUCE WITH CONSISTENCY. THE RECESSIVE GENES LEADING TO THE EXPRESSION OF THESE COLORS ARE EASILY THWARTED BY THE PRESENCE OF YELLOW AND RED GENES IN A GIVEN POLLEN GRAIN. A CAREFULLY ISOLATED AND CONTAINED LOT CAN DO QUITE WELL AND PRESERVE THE UNIQUE COLOR AND CHARACTER OF THIS VARIETY, THOUGH THIS IS QUITE HARD TO FIND.
