We heard it's National Coffee Day. We were confused because we thought every day is coffee day? Obviously, we're still celebrating with a great brew. With over a week of 100+ degree weather, we're grateful for iced lattes! We love making iced espresso drinks for people and watching the smiles form across their face as they take that first refreshing sip. What's your favorite summer coffee drink? I love an iced caramel latte.

We've seen a lot of news articles over the years on the health benefits, or lack thereof, of drinking coffee. While we're not health professionals and this isn't health advice, we can definitely say coffee improves our happiness every time we drink specialty coffee. It's a new year and we're trying out something new! We had the opportunity to make some Kopi Luwak (aka, civet coffee). According to Wikipedia, "Kopi Luwak is a coffee that consists of partially digested coffee cherries, which have been eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet." Sounds tasty, right? We thought it had tasting notes of oak, walnuts, and a hint of buttery smoothness. Definitely a darker roast with smoky aromas but there was very little acidity or bitterness. What new adventures will you be trying this year?
