Scored poorly this contest. Don't think we got enough smoke to the meat, and the ribs were over done. Mel got up at 2:30 am, and put the brisket and pork on, the only way to control the temperature was to open the door and let the heat out,at intervels, and of course the smoke went too. But we tried, Mel ordered new parts this morning. (However the family, seemed to like every thing, and a supper of leftover BBQ was fun.)

Big smoker acting up again. New parts not a good fit. Will try a different approach. This is getting Real interesting

We prepared a big supper tonight. As we were wondering what to do with all the food, two of Hutchinson's finest came walking by, so we invited them to supper, and they accepted. We appreciate the time and effort that the police officers put in, and enjoyed our visit with them.

Great BBQ teams here. Buther BBQ, Buffalo BBQ, JP Custom Smoke just to name 3 of the 41 teams. Wish us luck, because we are going to need it.
