Youā€™ve seen the cookies. Youā€™ve witnessed the frosting-related emotional damage. Now itā€™s probably time I officially tell you what Iā€™ve been building.

Black Apron Baking Co. is an Ogden-based late-night bakery created for the craving that hits after dinnerā€”when everything good is closed and you absolutely do not want to put on real pants.

Once we open, youā€™ll be able to order from a limited menu of oversized cookies, mini cakes and other dangerously delicious things available that eveningā€”and have them delivered right to your door.

Weā€™re not taking orders quite yet, but weā€™re getting very, very close.

Is it actually sweater weather yet? No.
Is that going to stop us? Also no.

Mentally, weā€™re already balls deep in fall ā€” iced coffee in hand, fall candle lit, oversized sweater waiting impatiently for a 65Ā° day, curating our own little White Womanā€™s Instagram.

So naturally: depression, but make it āœØseasonalāœØ.

Sheā€™s been haunting me, keeping me up at night, and giving me nothing but red flagsā€”but Iā€™m still convinced I can fix her.

Chocolate cake, chocolate glaze, peanut butter glaze, roasted peanuts, and Snickers. Sheā€™s not quite right yet, and I refuse to give up until she is.

Meet Wasatch Tracksā€”my Utah-inspired cookie spin on Moose Tracks ice cream. šŸ«ŽšŸ–¤

A vanilla brown-sugar cookie loaded with peanut butter cups and chocolate-covered caramel, stuffed with a dark ganache center.

Sheā€™s not finished yetā€”next round gets more peanut butter, a little crunch, and caramel hidden inside the fudgeā€”but the potential is frankly indecent.
