Proud is an understatement. ā¤ļø
I honestly donāt know if I have the words to express how proud I am of these amazing Culinary students.
What you see in these pictures is so much more than a finished project. It represents weeks of planning, problem-solving, learning, creating, changing things when they didnāt work, trying again, and putting in an incredible amount of hard work.
These students took on something unlike anything we had ever attempted before. From building and carving the structure, shaping the anatomy, working with Rice Krispies treats and ganache, adding fondant, hand-texturing every inch, painting and shading, creating the details of the face and antlers, and finally bringing the entire display togetherāthey had a hand in all of it.
Watching their confidence grow throughout this project has been one of my favorite parts. They learned that sometimes creating something extraordinary means being willing to make mistakes, correct them, trust the process and keep going.
And just look at what they accomplished.
I am incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to work alongside each of them and watch their individual talents come together to create something none of us will ever forget.
To the Culinary kids at ECTC Culinary Arts : YOU did this. Be proud of yourselves. Take in this moment.
You earned it.
Thank you for trusting me, working hard, listening, laughing, learning, and giving this crazy idea everything you had. I hope you realize just how talented and capable you are.
Proud doesnāt even begin to cover it. ā¤ļø
