Shifty, the beloved and iconic cat of Adventures Unlimited and the Bus Bar and Grill in Ocoee, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, after a brave battle with feline infectious peritonitis (FIP).
For years, Shifty was more than just a pet; she was a cherished member of the Bus Bar and AU family and an adored friend to many guests who visited the establishment.
Known for her sleek, agile movements and her knack for finding the sunniest spots to lounge, Shifty brought a sense of warmth and comfort to everyone around her. Her friendly presence and curious nature made her a favorite among regulars and newcomers.
Shifty's life at the Bus Bar was filled with countless memorable moments. Whether she was weaving through the outdoor seating area with her tail held high, making sure everyone felt welcome, or sleeping peacefully on the desk in the office, her playful antics and loving nature made her a beloved fixture of the property, creating a home-like atmosphere that any animal lover appreciated. Shifty had a special talent for making guests feel at home.
In addition to her role as the welcoming committee, Shifty had a unique bond with the staff, providing them with companionship and joy on busy days. Shifty's presence was a constant reminder of the simple joys in life and the importance of taking a moment to appreciate the world around us.
Shifty's passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew her. She was more than just a cat; she was a symbol of the heart and soul of the Bus Bar and AU. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the countless stories shared by the many people who had the pleasure of knowing her. Shifty's legacy of love, warmth, and a playful spirit will forever be a part of us.
