We didn’t even know Support Small Friday was a thing until our friends at Village Pack and Ship Movers gave Spike’s a shoutout, so we figured we’d keep it going and show some love to another local business.

This week, we’re shouting out Reeds Groves in Weirsdale.

Reed’s is a small local produce stand, but they’ve got a whole lot more than just fruits and vegetables. You’ll find local honey, locally made jams, fresh-baked bread, desserts, and plenty of other good stuff from right here in our area.

And if you’ve ever eaten at Spike’s, we can pretty much guarantee you’ve eaten something from Reed’s. A lot of the fresh veggies we use come straight from them.

One of the things we appreciate most is that Brionna, Jimmy, and the whole team actually know the products they sell. Ask them a question about the produce, what’s in season, how something tastes, or what to do with it, and they can usually point you in the right direction. That kind of knowledge and service is getting harder and harder to find.

Reed’s Groves has been part of the Weirsdale community for a long, long time, and businesses like theirs are exactly why supporting local matters.

So if you’re in the area, stop in, say hi to Brionna, Jimmy, and the team, grab some fresh produce, some local honey, a loaf of bread, or something sweet, and support a business that has been serving this community for years.

And another thank you to Village Pack and Ship Movers for introducing us to Support Small Friday and showing Spike’s some love.

Small businesses supporting small businesses. That’s how it should be.

PS try their cheesy jalapeño bread. 🔥🔥

A good sub doesn’t need a speech. Fresh bread, plenty of filling, made right here in Ocklawaha. Come see us at Spike’s.

We found a wallet that belongs to Westin. If anyone knows him, tell him to come by.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Spike’s Deli ❤️💐

We’ll be closed Sunday so our team can spend the day with their moms, wives, grandmas, kids, and families. Small businesses are built on family, and days like this matter.

We appreciate all of you and hope you get to spend the day with the people you love, eating good food, slowing down a little, and making memories together.

Sometimes the best business decision is remembering everybody’s human for five minutes.

We’ll see y’all Tuesday.
