Java Jane's Coffee

Well, I have been dragging my feet about making this post, but it is time to let everyone know what happened to their favorite little coffee bar! First, I would like to thank all of the employees, fans, friends and customers that have helped to build Java Jane's over the past 25 years. It has been a lot of fun serving all of you! I have made some lifelong friends that were first customers and or employees! I have been to several weddings because of the friends that were made at Java Jane's. I have also been to a few funerals. A lot of you have touched my life in ways that I did not really expect! The owner, staff and management at Playland's Castaway Cove have treated me like family over the years, and I am forever grateful for these people!
In the winter of 2024, my wife and I took over the daily operations of her family's coffee roastery and gourmet shop located in the Historic Towne Of Smithville, NJ. Cook's Corner has been owned by my Father In-Law, Andrew Perfetti and Mother In-Law Kate Perfetti since around 1980, and my Mother In-Law still owns it today.
I was forced to make a decision on what is to become of Java Jane's in Ocean City for the summer of 2024. Because of the tremendous amount of work that Cook's Corner needed to bring it back to Andrew's high standards, I couldn't continue to operate Java Jane's. I tried to bring Java Jane's back to Playland for the summer of 2025, but the timing was not in my favor.
The owner of Playland has been so good to my family and I, that I really can't thank him for his generosity and years of advice enough! He is still holding out hope that Java Jane's will return to the park for the 2026 summer season! We will work hard to try and make that happen!
While we have a small following here on FaceBook, the amount of traffic and messages that have been sent to our little FB page has been unbelievable! I truly love you guys. I do.
Currently, you can buy Java Jane's Coffee on our Etsy store (currently on a short break) or you can come and visit Amy and I out in Smithville.
We are also working on an amazing project that all of the fans of the original Java Jane's Café, and fans of the drink window at Cook's Corner will be very happy about! A big announcement is forthcoming in the following months.
While my heart is sad, and I am missing all of my friends in Ocean City, I am hopeful that this is "see you later" and not "goodbye".

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’m thankful for each and every one of you. Yes, even you. Especially you.

I didn’t write this. I stole it from my good friend Mark and am now sharing it with you:

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

"Well because someone bumped into me, of course!"

Wrong answer.

You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.

Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.

*Whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out.*

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.

*So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"

When life gets tough, what spills over?

Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility?

Or anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions?

You choose!

Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Just found out Java Jane's has been "quilted". This quilt is hanging in the Ocean City community center. Pretty cool. I don't know who made it though. If anyone knows, please post the artists name for credit.

Hi! Summer is almost in full swing! We have recently closed our boardwalk stand to focus our attention to the stand in the OC Playland Pier by the Ferris Wheel. We still have the same delicious menu items, just different location and hours. Sorry for the confusion. We hope to see you around this summer!
