This year marks 40 years for DaVinci’s, and it will be our final season.
That’s still hard to believe.
Mom and Dad started this journey in 1986, and for me, this place has never just been a restaurant. It’s where so many of my family’s memories were made. My daughter — and my nieces and nephews — have never known a time when Da Vinci’s wasn’t part of our lives.
Over the years, it has also been home to countless incredible people. Seasonal staff, J-1 students, and summer crews who came here from all over the world — many for their very first job in the United States. Friendships formed here that lasted long after summer, and some even met here and went on to get married.
And then there are all of you — the people who walked through our doors year after year and helped make this place what it is.
When I think about 40 years, I don’t think about the business.
I think about the people.
I’m not sad about this being the last season.
I’m grateful.
Grateful for my family who built it.�Grateful for everyone who ever worked here.�And grateful for everyone who made Da Vinci’s part of their lives over the years.
It’s been an incredible run.
And while this chapter is ending, I’m really excited for what’s next. Surfin Betty’s has been growing rapidly, and it’s where my focus will be moving forward.
But before that… we have one more season.
If you’ve ever been part of this place — whether you worked here, visited once, or came back every summer — I hope you’ll stop by this year and be part of our final chapter.
Let’s make it a special one.
