🚀 Something new is being built in Oakland.

I’m excited to officially announce Women Building AI in Oakland: From Idea to App in One Day, presented by CoCo Noir Labs, sponsored by Lovable, and taking place during Oakland Tech Week 2026.

On September 30, women from across the Bay Area will come together for a hands-on day focused on one thing:

BUILDING WITH AI.

AI is creating an entirely new generation of builders—and you no longer need a traditional software engineering background to begin turning an idea into an application.

This event is for women founders, entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, students, future technologists and anyone who has ever thought:

“I have an idea for an app…but I don’t know how to build it.”

Bring your idea. Bring your laptop. Bring your curiosity.

We’ll spend the day learning, collaborating, receiving mentorship and using Lovable to begin turning ideas into real AI-powered applications.

Welcome to August! ✨

It has officially been one month since CoCo Noir Wine Shop & Bar closed its doors, and we are continuing the final phase of our closeout sale.

We originally listed 110 items. So far, 40 items have sold, and 70 items remain. Everything must go.

There are still great pieces available for homes, restaurants, tasting rooms, wineries, offices, salons, retail stores, event venues, caterers, and hospitality businesses. Many items are priced under $100, with available inventory starting as low as $8.

Shop remaining furniture, custom fixtures, curtains and drapery, event décor, restaurant and catering equipment, refrigeration, electronics, lighting, wine accessories, and more. We have also reduced prices on several custom furniture and fixture pieces.

From Wine Entrepreneurship to AI Innovation: Taking the Stage at IBWSS

Since publicly announcing my transition into AI, I’ve had the opportunity to serve on a Women in AI panel during Women’s History Month, present at a virtual AI summit, and now prepare for my third AI speaking engagement and second in-person event.

On July 28, I’ll join the panel “The AI Advantage for Beverage Businesses” at IBWSS. We’ll discuss how AI is creating measurable value across operations, forecasting, sales, customer engagement, and business decision-making.

It’s a wrap. 🥂

As of July 5, 2026, CoCo Noir Wine Shop & Bar is officially closed for business.

Our journey at the Atlas Building started in 2020, when I signed the lease just one month before the pandemic hit. What was supposed to be a new beginning became years of delays, COVID setbacks, buildout challenges, and pushing through uncertainty to bring this vision to life.

By the end of 2022, we finally opened our doors in Oakland’s Black Arts Movement Business District. Almost four years later — and six years total on this block — this chapter has officially come to a close.

To every customer, supporter, vendor, volunteer, partner, friend, neighbor, artist, entrepreneur, and community member who poured into CoCo Noir — thank you. Every visit, referral, event, bottle purchase, shared post, donation, and word of encouragement helped us build something meaningful in Oakland.
This is not the end of the CoCo Noir brand. More is coming. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing updates about the transition, the future of the brand, and the direction we’re moving in next.

We’ll also be posting information soon about equipment, furniture, and other business items that will be available for sale as we close out the space.
