🍂With every Sunday, a Cinnamon Roll must be made. 🍂
🍁🍁Who wants Some???????🍁🍁
In this case I made Cinnamon Rolls & Cinnamon Raisin Rolls…. Simple, easy, & in an hour.
I like a bit more hearty Dough… so I’ve learned to make mine without yeast.
2 3/4 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 tspn of baking powder
1/2 tspn of baking soda
1 egg
5 Tbsp of soft butter
3/4 cup of buttermilk
( I make my own….3/4 cup of whole milk and 1 tspn of vinegar… mix and let sit for 10 minutes to thicken)
Put all dry ingredient in first
Add egg and softened butter
Start to mix and slowly incorporate buttermilk mixture.
Don’t over mix dough (you’ll flatten the dough… you’ll see it when it comes out of oven)
Don’t add extra flour if dough looks a bit not together…. It is together!!
Flour your surface… maybe an 1/8 of a cup
Put dough on flour… spread out with hands… turn dough over in leftover flour.
Roll out into a triangle… maybe 18-20 inches by 8 inches.
Brush on melted butter. Spread about a handful and 1/2 of brown sugar and sprinkle cinnamon over top. (If you want to add raisins or craisins… now use discretion. But I add about a handful. )
Roll it up and cut the roll about 2.5in/3 in …. You should get 10 rolls.
Use a 9x13 in pan and place them in
Brush the tops with butter
And pour 1 cup half & half on bottom of pan… around cinnamon rolls.
375° for 25 minutes.
Let them cool for about 30 minutes
And then drizzle your glaze over the top
I use the following
1/4 cup softened butter
2-3 cups powdered sugar
3 T of Half & Half
Your powdered sugar or half-and-half, you may increase a little bit or decrease, depending upon how thick of a glaze you want.
The recipe I was sharing with you is the recipe that I grew up enjoying Christmas time…. From Dad’s Hands!!
