What 2 year old little boy doesn't absolutely deserve a Monster Truck cookie cake? This one was going so well, a dye free fun border, chocolate tires, all the bells and whistles...but I got the cookie flavor wrong. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I never do that, and I'm still kicking myself for it. Let it be known that I triple check all my details now 🥲 hey, at least she was cute.

We love a cake that incorporates so many fun elements! Detailed buttercream illustration, 3D printed keepsake topper (thank you very much to my husband), a chocolate covered Oreo hockey puck, and...sugar glass. Oh that sugar glass.

The first picture was taken before the glass started wilting and melting like flower petals on the cake. Why? Because I pulled it too early off the heat when it was cooking and it didn't quite get to the "hard crack" stage - I now have a proper candy thermometer. 🥲 However, we learn from our failures and my second batch came out perfectly! I did have to replace the shards into the cake which brought me back to my Trauma Center days. The Nintendo Wii one. Iykyk 😆

Sometimes you just can't decide on a theme for your birthday! This kiddo really wanted his birthday to be Captain America and Harry Potter themed - say less. I was THRILLED that I finally got to use my chocolate frog making kit I bought last year (thank you World Market), and those shields are completely made of buttercream and I'm very proud of them. Getting those stars not to break apart was just a *little* stressful. 😅 All in all, I absolutely adore this funfetti cookie cake and I hope the birthday boy did too! 💫

What a fun one!! This is a pre-sliced funfetti cookie cake with buttercream illustrations of Chase and Marshall and white chocolate paws and bones! 🐾 Shout out to my hubs for 3D printing those awesome badges 🩷 Hope this paw patrol loving kiddo had the most amazing birthday!!

Who else is taking their kids to see the new Paw Patrol movie in theaters, and it's going to be their first time ever going to the movies?!? We'll see how this goes.
